| Description | As ensemble forecasting model with a meteorological model and Kalman filter is developed, and the solar irradiance and also its probability interval are forecasted by applying it. First, the Global Horizontal Irradiance of 60 hours ahead is forecasted with the meteorological model WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) in the central Japan. Next, the forecasted irradiance is adjusted by Kalman filter with the observed irradiance data. Finally, the ensemble method is employed to evaluate forecasting probability interval. The Kalman filter improves the forecasted irradiance in its accuracy, and reduces the probability interval. | |||||||||||||||
