| Description | Plasmonic spectral filter based on metal-insulator-metal (MIM) structure shows quite strong absorption at the wavelength determined by the thickness of the insulator layer. Active plasmonic spectral filter could be fabricated by using active insulator such as electro-optic material. Here we introduce research activities and revealed issues in fabrication of the plasmonic spectral filter using PLZT as the electro-optic material. The crystal structures in PLZT films prepared by wet and dry processes are discussed. Thermal durability of the metal layers of silver and silver alloy as well as the ultra-thin over-coating film on the first metal layer against the post-annealing treatment are also discussed. | |||||||||||||||
